 When storing toxic chemicals, it's important to control the risks associated with these dangerous goods, including human harm and environmental contamination. Exposure to Class 6.1 Toxic Substances can be in the form of inhalation, contact with the skin or eyes, or accidental ingestion. When there is a toxic chemical leak or spill, care must be taken to quickly contain the release and prevent the substance from seeping into soil or travelling into waterways, as this may affect the natural environment.

 Class 6 Storage should be constructed to meet safety standards with liquid-tight spill containment sumps, sequential automatic door closing systems, compliant signage and lockable doors to prevent unauthorised access.
